Biography

Lauren Coulson is a native Memphian and received a BFA in the spring of 2009 from the University of Memphis. She is currently furthering her studies as a graduate student at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Tufts University in Boston, MA. Lauren has exhibited her artwork in various galleries and museums throughout the United States, including the Limner Gallery in NY, Museum of Neon Art in Los Angeles, CA, Jack Robinson Gallery of Photography, the Brooks Museum of Art, David Lusk Gallery, the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Samsøn in Boston, MA. Coulson was awarded an inclusion of her artwork in Direct Art Magazine Vol. 17 on the inner back cover and her work has been included in many publications. Another dominant facet of her life involves the creation of antique gold and silver-plated bronze jewelry, which she produces by the lost wax casting method.
